SFC Alan Lee Boyer, Army Green Beret, MIA since March 1968. His remains have been identified. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors on June 22, 2016.

Bill "Skip" Coad, Vietnam veteran and a proud United States Marine died Thursday night, April 28, 2014 at his home in California. He was a 1964 graduate of Auburn High school in Rockford, Illinois and he joined the Marines shortly after graduation. I always refer to Bill as our Marine who guards the West Coast.  Semper Fi to all and to all a good night. Thank you for your service. You died too soon. Condolences and deepest sympathy to your family and brother Marines.

SFC Alan Lee Boyer, U. S. Army Green Beret has been Missing in Action for nearly 48 years. He has now been found. Although some facts are still classified, what we do know is that the DNA from Alan's mother, Dorothy Boyer, and his sister, Judi Boyer Bouchard, which was given many years ago, is a perfect match with that found in the remains given by an "activist for peace" which she had obtained from 3 Lao Nationals, "remains traders". The remains are more than a mere tooth such as was found and ID'd as belonging to Sgt. Brown in 2001. Judi is convinced that the remains are definitely from Alan.

Joe Falzone and Nick Parnello, two young soldiers from Rockford, met while in Plekiu, South Vietnam in 1969, and they vowed to meet for supper if and when they ever made it back home. They did and here's the rest of the story.
